Last night I came home at 10:30 PM. There was only one car parked in our lot, the rest were parked next to it in the office building lot. I thought "Maybe my landlord is planning to plough the lot or something and asked those who were home to move their cars. I'll just park over here by them too."
Damn, was I wrong.
I walked to school this morning at 9:00 AM (I have a report from Chels that my car was there at that time). I came home this evening at 6:00 PM and remembered that I needed salsa for my blackbean/nacho wrap thing I make and I went to drive to the store in my car but - WTF its not there. And the lot is not ploughed and the other cars are in their right places.
So open up the phone book and call around, Hills - not there, Police - didn't do any towing today, (Maybe Dad took it to change the oil) Dad - "You better find where your car is, I'm going to call [partner in laywer firm that owns the building that towed your car]!" Southside - yep there, but can't release until office hours tommorrow. Called Dad back to let him know I found out where it was. He was upset that I couldn't get it until tommorrow and did a little more calling (police, the other partner, my landlord, southside...)
That is one good thing about my Dad he will stand up for me. I am way too passive to try and get things like having someone open the tow lot at 7:00 PM (even though he was unsuccessful). Any time I am wronged by a someone he's got my back.
So, now I am just way embarassed and feel really stupid that I thought I was SUPPOSED to park where my car would get towed. I did my cry thing cause no one was home to comfort me and watched the movie my secret santa sent me. It was Amelie and a welcomed upper to the current situation.
