Looking good at the reception. Where do I get my big teeth smile?
I dropped Anthony off at the airport on Saturday at 5:15 AM. From there I headed North. I was to Monticello already when it was finally 6:00 AM and I could stop at McDonald's for breakfast. It was a foggy drive up North, with only pick-ups trailing boats to keep me company. I made it up in time to make it to the House 4A endorsing convention in Cass Lake. I got roped in to being convention secretary, which is pretty much what I do for tax committee, so I thought I could handle it.
Colleen and Luke's wedding was much fun. Lots of catching up with the Bemidji UMCers. Mom and I were sad that there were no congregational songs to sing during the ceremony. But we looked up the songs in the hymnal and sang along anyway. I also looked up the Sacrament of Marriage to follow along with that too (of course).
Look at how gorgeous (and yummy) their cake was!
Kari and I had on the same sweater from Target! We talked about how it was a big deal for both of us to buy it full price :) Andrew, of course, was dapper in his tux.
We ate great food, laughed and danced the night away. Here mom and dad do a little two-step.
I did a whirlwind food tour of friend visits on Monday. First it was a stop at Wild Hare Bistro for breakfast with Amber. I got caught up on all the gossip and news from around town.
Then, it was lunch with mom at Tutto Bene. We strategized and planned for the Persell campaign. And gossiped about city politics.
I stopped by Grandpa's apartment to visit with him. Then, it was off to Guthrie to see Angi and her kids. George Thomas Shogren is a beautiful little baby! I can't believe I forgot to take pictures.
Later, I met up with Kate for a walk. We walked all over town and back to her house, where she cooked me a yummy dinner. Then, we were off to the SatC movie. It was pretty, but I thought the TV show was funnier and better.
Off to Nashville tomorrow - here I come sun and 90°!
