LUUURVED it. Teen angst-y, post-modern pop-punk-rock music, set in 1890s. I'm pretty sure it's not sold out and it's here until Sunday - Go see it! (Student Rush tickets are $20 with a valid ID.)Not only were the acting and singing great, but the on-stage band was highly entertaining, as well. The conductor (band leader in jeans and a flat cap) was SO into every song. It made me happy.
Erica and I met up at Rock Bottom Brewery before the show for some yummy supper and pomegranate cosmopolitans. We followed that with a cocktail at the show. I'm a big fan of the Orpheum's venue for it's beauty, cheap seat views and the OK to take your drink to your seat. Next time I see this show, I'd be interested in sitting on the stage. There are no scene changes and the cast sits among you.
