So, I decided to stay in my apartment even though my roommate is moving out. The problem is, I still need a new roommate. The people I thought needed housing have decided to stay where they are. So, I posted a notice on craigslist and hopefully that will find me a really nice, neat-freak with a big TV. It worked for Jess.
I considered living with Lindsi (who just bought a new house near Anthony) - but I just love my current house and location and hate the thought of moving.
So, if any of you lovely folks out there know some clean and responsible person who would like to live in a nice old St. Paul house beginning June 1st, let me know. Andi - I'm looking at you.

My brother asked his girlfriend, Ashli, to marry him! I couldn't be happier for him, she is a beautiful and kind young woman. And someone who can keep him in line.

I purchased the plane tickets for our Nashville trip yesterday. We're going to visit Anthony's best friend, Josiah and his wife Mel, who recently moved there to make it in the music business. I used up pretty much all of my frequent flier miles to buy 2 round trip tickets. I'm glad I booked the trip before the Delta-NWA merger happened. Now, lets just hope that they honor our tickets if they merge before we leave.
We'll be there June 5-8, which just happens to be the same dates as CMT's Fan Fair. Miranda Lambert is playing Friday night and I'm hoping maybe Lori McKenna will play that day too and the concert gods smile on me and we get tickets. Right now it looks like we can only get 4-day passes, lame.
If we can't see them, I'm confident there will be plenty of fun, free live music in the local bars.
It should be a nice and warm long weekend in Tennessee to celebrate the end of the legislative session. I plan to wear a lot of sun dresses, see the sites, shop and hear lots of good bands.

Monday Night Wild Game
Anthony cut all his hair off and he's just as handsome as ever.
He's judging some Christian music competitions at Club 3°. He and a guest get in free, eat for free and get a prime seat. A fun night downtown Minneapolis for the price of parking.
It's finally warm and the sun is out and the idea of Spring is real. But I know that it's going to snow and go below zero again. Darn Spring you are such a tease. I do have the urge to go to salvation army for some cute yellow and navy spring clothes. To do that though, I really need to go through my closet and purge a bit.
I did a thorough cleaning of my house last weekend. It was in great need of it, as I have been neglecting it for a month or so. I swept and mopped all of the floors, vacuumed the rugs and the couch, dusted the flat surfaces, changed all the linens, scrubbed the sinks, tub and toilet, and tidied anything that was bugging me (i.e. the front door explosion of shoes and boots) as well as, my laundry. I was completely satisfied when I was done. Then, the next day I assisted Anthony in the same endeavor at his house.
I cooked for the first time in many days on Wednesday night. Anthony (who showed up with daisies and green carnations) helped me make a delicious pan of chicken stir fry with colorful peppers and brown rice. Also, I baked up some par-baked whole wheat bread that I love. Yummy, non-empty carbs.
On Saturday I plan to make a creme de menthe cake in honor of St. Patrick's Day. This is a super easy upgrade of regular white cake. It's just a cake mix with a little mint syrup to make it green, a layer of hot fudge and then cool whip with a little mint syrup. Instead of the regular 9x13 pan, I'm contemplating doing two round pans with some of the fudge in between the layers. Round cakes are just so much prettier (you never see Martha frosting a cake in a rectangular pan). And I have a handy round cake carrier that I picked up at a rummage sale last summer. Cupcakes would be cute too, but I think that would be a little too much work.
Holy week starts on Sunday! A week with five holidays - Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday. Let the Hallelujahs begin.
I'm loving my outfit today: purple tights, tall brown boots, a corduroy skirt and purple twinset.
Also gave the boy a little Easter basket full of goodies: Apples, shampoo, white t-shirts, candy and chocolate ice cream. Yum.
